Analisis Pengaruh Debit Air Pada Sistem Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro Tipe Turbin Ulir
ABSTRACT
This study discusses the effect of water discharge variations on the performance of Microhydro Power Plants (PLTMH) using screw turbines (Archimedes Screw Turbine). Testing was carried out by varying the water discharge at turbine inclination angles of 40°, 50°, and 60°. The water discharges used in this test were 0.008 m³/s, 0.014 m³/s and 0.016 m³/s. The parameters analyzed included turbine rotation speed, generator rotation speed, hydraulic power, torque, efficiency, and electrical output produced by the DC generator under loaded and unloaded conditions. The results showed that the rotation speed of the turbine and generator increased with increasing water discharge. The maximum generator rotation reached 1387 rpm, with the highest power of 13.03 watts at a water discharge of 0.016 m³/s with an inclination angle of 50°. The maximum efficiency was recorded at 9.12% at a water discharge of 0.016 m³/s with an inclination angle of 50°. This study concludes that water discharge has a significant effect on the performance of the PLTMH, with a water discharge of 0.016 m³/s providing the most optimal results. The results of this study are expected to be a reference in the development of more efficient and environmentally friendly PLTMH technology.
