Perancangan Dan Analisis Electronic Load Controller Pada Pembangkit Mikro Hidro Menggunakan Metode Fuzzy Pi
ABSTRACT
Microhydro Power Plant (MHP) is an efficient renewable energy source for remote areas. However, fluctuations in load and water discharge can cause frequency changes that affect system stability. To overcome this problem, this research designs and viiinalyses an Electronic Load Controller (ELC) based on Fuzzy PI Controller to maintain frequency stability in MHP. The Fuzzy PI controller is used to adaptively adjust the Kp and Ki values based on the error and rate of change of frequency error, so that the system is more responsive than the conventional PI. Simulation results show that the use of Fuzzy PI in the ELC is able to keep the system frequency close to 50 Hz, with a maximum deviation of only ±0.3 Hz, compared to conventional PI which deviates up to ±1.2 Hz when load changes occur. The system with Fuzzy PI also shows a faster settling time, which is 0.25 seconds, compared to 0.42 seconds in the conventional PI. In addition, the system overshoot is reduced from 14.368% to 0.129%, showing a significant improvement in stability. Thus, this method proves effective in improving the frequency stability of the MHP system, making it more reliable under dynamic operational conditions.
