Makna Gaya Hidup Hedonisme Di Kalangan Siswa Sma Negeri 9 Pekanbaru

The development of hedonistic lifestyle of students of SMAN 9 Pekanbaru has become a serious concern. This problem is evident from the behavior of students who often prioritize pleasure and enjoyment in various aspects of daily life. Hedonism is a view that considers pleasure to be the most important thing in life. The purpose of this study is to reveal the meaning of hedonistic lifestyle of students of SMAN 9 Pekanbaru, both from past motives (because motive) and future motives (in order to motive).
The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Determination of informants in this study used a purposive technique with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. While the data validity checking technique uses extended participation and triangulation.
The results of the study show that the hedonistic lifestyle of students of SMAN
9 Pekanbaru is greatly influenced by the desire to pursue pleasure and fulfill personal needs. The past motive (because motive) of students of SMAN 9 Pekanbaru is due to past experiences or events that make the social view of the friendship environment seem to consider their existence less so that students try to change this view so that they are seen more and want to gain popularity by implementing a hedonistic lifestyle. Then, the motive will come (in order to motive) because of the high social status in their friendship environment and can achieve an ideal standard of living in the future according to the standard of living they see from the influencers they look up to. In addition, students feel that by implementing this hedonistic lifestyle they will know the standard of living they want to achieve in the future so that they have the skills to be able to achieve the jobs they dream of by implementing a hedonistic style.
