Hubungan Antara Dukungan Sosial Orang Tua Dengan Prestasi Non Akademik Penyandang Disabilitas Di Sekolah Menengah Atas Luar Biasa Negeri Pembina Kota Pekanbaru
This study aims to determine the magnitude of the relationship between parental social support and non-academic achievement of people with disabilities at SMALB Negeri Pembina Pekanbaru City. Parents as the main controllers of the family must provide social support to their children to be able to live a social life, one of which is education, well. Educational success can also be seen from achievement. This is in accordance with Merton's Structural Functional theory which states that every subsystem of society functions to maintain social balance. This study is a type of quantitative research with correlation analysis. The population in this study were all parents of people with disabilities at SMALB Negeri Pembina Pekanbaru City. The sample in this study was obtained using the census technique. Data collection used a direct questionnaire distribution technique. The data obtained were then processed using the SPSS version 23 application. The results of this study indicate that all forms of parental social support dominate. Non-academic achievement of people with disabilities at SMALB Negeri Pembina Pekanbaru City is classified as low. Then the magnitude of the relationship between parental social support and non-academic achievement is very weak.
