Good Environmental Governance Dalam Pengelolaan Sampah Di Taman Jalur Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi
This study aims to determine Good Environmental Governance in Waste Management in Taman Jalur, Kuantan Singingi Regency. Good environmental governance is a manifestation of the government and local government in supporting the creation of a good environment and to realize the implementation of sustainable development. This principle is emphasized for the implementation of environmental protection. This study uses a qualitative method with a theoretical approach according to Addahlawi et al., (2019) quoted from Belbase, which includes seven main indicators, namely the rule of law, participation and representation, access to information, transparency and accountability, decentralization, institutions and institutions, and access to justice. The results of the study indicate that good environmental governance in waste management in Taman Jalur does not yet have clear rules and still refers to general regent regulations. In addition, inhibiting factors such as minimal environmental education, lack of public awareness in disposing of waste in its place are still low, due to limited supporting facilities and the placement of trash bins that are not yet strategic around the Taman Jalur area. Therefore, it is necessary to increase cooperation between the government, the Environmental Service and the community, as well as more intensive education to increase awareness of the importance of the active role of the community in maintaining the environment in a sustainable manner. Through collaboration and policy improvements, it is hoped that waste management in Taman Jalur can run more effectively and sustainably. This research is expected to be useful for government agencies, academics, and the community in order to improve environmental quality in waste management.
