Karakterisasi Fitokimia Daun Beriang (Ploiarium Alternifolium (Vahl) Melchior) Menggunakan Lc-Ms Dan Uji Antioksidannya
Beriang plants (Ploiarium alternifolium (Vahl.) Melchior) belong to the Theaceae family, are often found growing in acidic soil and have various biological activities. Plant characterization can use a variety of characters, one of which is phytochemical characteristics. This character is able to provide information about potential compounds contained in a plant. The purpose of this study was to characterize the phytochemical compounds in the ethanol extract of P. alternifolium leaves using LC-MS and its antioxidant test. In this study, P. alternifolium leaf extract was analyzed using LC-MS, so that a chromatogram was obtained showing the compounds contained in the sample. The chromatogram was analyzed using Masslynx and Mzmine software and several supporting databases such as Chemspider, Pubchem, and HMDB (Human Metabolites Database). Antioxidant test was performed on the samples using DPPH test method. The results showed that 35 potential compounds from several groups were identified, dominated by terpenoid compounds such as quillaic acid, phytol, and squalene. Followed by flavonoid compounds such as tangeritin and emodin, and several other compounds. The IC50 value in the antioxidant test is 101.241 µg/mL which is categorized as an antioxidant at a moderate level.
