Gambaran Faktor Risiko Nyeri Punggung Bawah Pada Pasien Rawat Jalan Di Poliklinik Neurologi Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau
Lower Back Pain (LBP) is one of the most common complaints encountered in life. According to WHO, the prevalence of LBP in 2022 reached 17.3 million people. Based on population change estimates, by 2050 there will be a 36.4% increase in the total cases of LBP. LBP is caused by various risk factors, including individual, occupational, and environmental factors. These risk factors include age, gender, body mass index (BMI), work position, work duration, years of employment, smoking habits, and exercise habits. This study is a descriptive study using a cross-sectional design and aims to identify the risk factors of LBP in patients at the Neurology Outpatient Clinic of Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital, Riau Province, from July to September 2024. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and measurements of patients' weight and height. Samples were selected using purposive sampling, with a total of 64 patients. The study results showed that the majority of patients were aged ≥ 35 years (89.1%), female (67.2%), had a BMI in the obesity I category (31.3%), worked in a static position (48.4%), worked ≥ 8 hours (51.6%), had been working for ≥ 10 years (89.1%), did not smoke (75%), and did not exercise (62.5%).
