Profil Tatalaksana Urethroplasty Dengan Buccal Mucosa Graft (Bmg) Pada Pasien Striktur Uretra Di Rsud Arifin Achmad
Urethral stricture is a narrowing of the urethral lumen due to fibrosis which can obstruct urine flow and cause complications. Management of urethral strictures includes various methods, with Buccal Mucosa Graft (BMG) urethroplasty being the gold standard due to its high success rate. This study aims to describe the profile of urethral stricture patients who underwent BMG urethroplasty at Arifin Achmad Regional Hospital. Retrospective descriptive research was conducted on medical record data of urethral stricture patients from 2019 to 2023. A total sampling of 10 patients was taken as a research sample. Data were analyzed univariately and presented in the form of a frequency distribution. The results showed that the largest age groups were 26-35 years and 36-45 years (30% each). The main cause of stricture is inflammation (50%), followed by idiopathic (30%), trauma, and iatrogenic (10% each). The most common stricture locations were the pars pendularis and panurethra (40% each). Most patients had no history of previous urethral surgery (60%) and had a stricture length of more than 2 cm (90%). The conclusions of this study provide important information for optimizing the management of urethral strictures at Arifin Achmad Regional Hospital. Further studies are needed to evaluate the long-term effectiveness of the BMG urethroplasty method.
