Evaluasi Penyelenggaraan Pembinaan Narapidana Di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas Ii A Pekanbaru
Evaluation of the implementation of prisoner rehabilitation is critical to ensure that rehabilitation goals can be achieved effectively. Each rehabilitation program needs to be evaluated to determine whether it has successfully reduced the risk of recidivism and improved the skills and positive behavior of inmates. In addition, the needs of each inmate vary, whether in terms of psychological aspects, skills, education, or religious beliefs. This study aims to analyze and describe the extent of the success of the Inmate Development Program at Class II A Pekanbaru Correctional Institution, as well as to identify the obstacles encountered in the Evaluation of the Inmate Development Program at Class II A Pekanbaru Correctional Institution. This research uses the Policy Evaluation theory according to William N Dunn. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative research method that collects data through observations, interviews, and documentation. The result of this research is that the implementation of inmate rehabilitation at the Class II A Penitentiary in Pekanbaru has been carried out with several basic principles prioritizing rehabilitation, social reintegration, and the empowerment of inmates. However, even though the rehabilitation programs have been implemented well, there are still several inhibiting factors that affect their execution. The inhibiting factors are the overcapacity of prison inmates, the lack of rehabilitation staff, and the lack of awareness among inmates about the importance of participating in rehabilitation programs.
