Hematologi Ikan Mas (Cyprinus Carpio) Yang Diberi Imunostimulan Ramah Lingkungan Dari Bubuk Daun Jambu Biji (Psidium Guajava
Guava leaves is a herbal plant that can be used to improve the immune system of goldfish (Cyprinus carpio). However, that leaf contain antinutrient substances that may alter the health condition of fish. The aim of this research was to obtain the optimal dose of guava leaf powder that was effective to improve the immune system without affecting the goldfish's condition in terms of hematological profile. A CRD with 5 treatments was applied. They were Control (T0 = no guava leaf), and T1; T2; T3 and T4 (10 g/kg; 15 g/kg; 20 g/kg and 25 g/kg feed respectively), 3 replications/treatment. The pellets used was Hi-Pro-Vite 781-2 commercial pellets. The fishes were kept in floating net cages (4x4x7 m), 30 fishes/cage and they were placed in the Koto Panjang Reservoir. The fishes were fed 3 times/day (ad satiation) for 60 days. Hematological parameters were checked 3 times, at the beginning (D-1), in the middle and by the end of the experiment (D-30 and D-60 respectively). Results shown that the fish fed with guava leaf enriched pellets had normal hematological conditions. The optimal
dose was T2 because it shows the best results for hematological conditions such as total erythrocytes 1.62-1.87x106 cells/mm3, hemoglobin 7.07-8.40 g/dL, hematocrit 34.33-37.67%, total leukocytes 3.14-3.60x104 cells/mm3, leukocrit 1.67%, lymphocytes 79.67-84.00%, monocytes 5.33-6.33%, neutrophils 5.33-6.33%, thrombocytes 5.33-7.67%. Data obtained shown that the provision of guava leaves enriched pellet has no effect on the hematological condition, but positively affects the immunity of fish.
