Komposisi Dan Kepadatan Sampah Laut (Marine Debris) Di Perairan Selat Malaka Kecamatan Rupat Utara Kabupaten Bengkalis

SANDRA PUSPITA RIZKIA NINGRUM / 1804110799 - Nama Orang;

Marine debris is non-natural solid material that is left or discarded in the sea by humans, either intentionally or unintentionally, as well as objects that flow into the sea through rivers and household and industrial waste disposal channels. In the Rupat Utara District coastal area, several factors contribute to the marine debris problem, namely marine debris originating from the Malacca Strait. The types of marine debris found include plastic waste and organic waste originating from household waste, fishing activities, tourism, and other sources.The highest density of inorganic marine debris was found at Station I, at 0.21 items/m², while the lowest was at Station II, at 0.105 items/m². The highest density of organic marine debris was found at Station III at 0.023 items/m², while the lowest was at Station I at 0.03 items/m². Observations were conducted at three different stations with a total weight of plastic debris: 4,824 grams, metal cans: 3,209 grams, nets: 1,757 grams, and Styrofoam: 1,168 grams, while based on Station II: 22,694 grams, Station III: 19,811 grams, Station I: 6,532 grams. Rubber was the heaviest type of waste at 26,426 grams, particularly at Station II (13,104 grams) and Station III (12,867 grams). Station I has a relatively even distribution of inorganic waste but is dominant for organic waste, indicating a location closer to domestic activities or areas with remaining vegetation. Stations II and III have high concentrations of inorganic waste, particularly rubber and glass.
