Estimasi Stok Karbon Pada Pohon Karet Di Kebun Karet Desa Rimbo Panjang, Kecamatan Tambang, Kabupaten Kampar, Riau
Rubber plants are one off the plantation crops that have ability to absorb carbon quite high. This research aims to 1) Knowing the stand structure in rubber plantations in Rimbo Panjang Village; 2) Estimate carbon stocks in rubber plantations in Rimbo Panjang Village; 3) Describe the Rubber Plantation in Rimbo Panjang that has the highest carbon stock value. Observations of rubber plantations were carried out in 8 locations with each location having 3 plots measuring 20 x 20 meters. Biomass measurements were made by measuring diameter at breast height (DBH) which will be included in the allometric equation. The results showed that there were differences between stand structures in Rimbo Panjang Village, including density, mean diameter, and basal area. The range of density was 270 ind/ha-1175 ind/ha (locations 5 and 7), mean diameter was 8.0 cm-23.6 cm (locations 1 and 4), and basal area was 7.07 m2/ha-33.68 m2/ha (locations 1 and 8). The range values of biomass, carbon stock, and carbon sequestration in Rimbo Panjang Village were 56,070 tons/ha-240,911 tons/ha for biomass, 26,353 tons/ha-113,228 tons/ha for carbon stock, and 96,716 tons/ha-415,548 tons/ha for carbon sequestration in locations 7 and 8. Site 8 is the location that has the highest carbon stock because it has a good structure. Location 8 is the location with the oldest rubberage as well as having a large average diameter, besides that location 8 is a rubber plantation that is still maintained, fertilized and harvested for sap.is a rubber plantation that is still being cared for, fertilized and sap extracted.Location 8 also has a regular planting distance.
