Uji Aktivitas Antimikroba Ekstrak Etil Asetat Metabolit Sekunder Jamur Endofit Dari Mangga Mempelam (Mangifera Laurina Blume.) Terhadap Mikroba Patogen
Pelam mango (Mangifera laurina) is known to contain bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, phenolics, gallic acid, quercetin which are able to act as antimicrobials. The same bioactive compounds are thought to be produced by endophytic fungi. This study aims to test the antimicrobial activity of ethyl acetate of the endophytic mushroom M. laurina against Propionibacterium acnes, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, and Candida albicans. JDM1, JDM5, JDM6, JBM4, and JBM5 isolates were used in this study isolated from the leaves and bark of M. laurina. The production of secondary metabolites of endophytic fungi was carried out for 9 days at a speed of 150 rpm, and extraction using ethyl acetate. The antimicrobial activity test was carried out by disc diffusion method, using extract concentrations of 10%, 30%, and 50%. JDM1 isolates with a concentration of 50% showed the highest antibacterial activity against P. acnes and
S. epidermidis test bacteria, while JBM4 isolates with a concentration of 50% showed the highest activity against S. aureus and C. albicans.
Key finding: Mangifera laurina, endophytic fungus, secondary metabolites, ethyl acetate, antimicrobial
