Education is the right of every Indonesian for the advancement of human resources. However, learning Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) is often monotonous and does not actively involve students. (Mustafa, 2022). This study was motivated by the problem of volleyball learning at MTsN 3 Pekanbaru which tends to be monotonous and boring. This study aims to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model on students' volleyball playing skills. A quantitative method with a pre-experimental design was used in this study with a one- group pretest-posttest design. Data on students' volleyball playing skills were collected through tests, and analyzed using the Paired Sample T-Test. The results showed that there was a significant effect of the TGT learning model on improving students' volleyball playing skills. The TGT model provides variation in learning and increases student involvement through game and tournament activities. With a Sig. value. (2 - tailed)
