Jenis Dan Kelimpahan Sampah Laut (Marine Debris) Di Pantai Trikora Desa Malang Rapat Kabupaten Bintan Kepulauan Riau
This study aims to identify the types and abundance of marine debris and examine differences in the quantity and diversity of debris across three observation stations at Trikora Beach, Malang Rapat Village. The research was conducted from July to August 2024. Sampling was carried out using a 50 × 100 meter transect technique, divided into five line transects measuring 50 × 20 meters, each containing 5 × 5 meter plots. The results showed that nine types of marine debris were found at the study sites. These included plastic packaging waste, plastic bottles, glass bottles, plastic ropes, plastic floats, rubber, styrofoam, nets, and fabric.. The highest density of marine debris was observed at Station 3 (4.28 items/m²), followed by Station 2 (2.89 items/m²) and Station 1 (2.32 items/m²). These findings highlight the need for better waste management strategies and coastal monitoring
