Status Kesuburan Perairan Berdasarkan Fitoplankton Di Danau Rantau Panjang Kecamatan Kampar Kiri Hilir Provinsi Riau
Phytoplankton is one of the parameters used to determine trophic state. The purpose of this study was to determine the trophic status of water based on phytoplankton in Rantau Panjang lake. This research was conducted in July-August 2024. Sampling was carried out at three stations, namely station 1 in the floating board cage area, station 2 inlet, and station 3 area affected by oil palm plantations. At each station there were 2 sampling points, namely at the surface and 2 Secchi depth. Sampling was done 6 times with an interval of 1 week. Water quality parameters measured were temperature, transparency, pH, dissolved oxygen, free carbon dioxide, nitrate, and phosphate. The results showed that there were 6 classes consisting of 25 species of phytoplankton, namely: Chlorophyceae class (14 species), Bacillariophyceae (4 species), Trebouxiophyceae (1 species), Zygnematophyceae (3 species), Ulvophyceae (1 species), Charophyceae (1 species), and Euglenophyceae (2 species). The average abundance of phytoplankton ranged from 1.189-2.442 cells/L. Temperature 20-31°C, transparency 23-39 cm, pH 5-6, dissolved oxygen 4,02-5,59 mg/L, free carbon dioxide 4,4-6,73 mg/L, nitrate 3,05-4,13, mg/L, phosphate 0,049-0,093 mg/L. Based on the phytoplankton abundance Rantau Panjang Lake can be categorized as oligotrophic.
