Pengaruh Media Kartu Kata Bergambar Berbantuan Lirik Lagu Terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Puisi Siswa Kelas Viii Smp Teknologi Pekanbaru
This research is motivated by the reality that occurs in the field, namely that some students of SMP Teknologi Pekanbaru have not maximized their ability to write poetry, and the method used in poetry writing materials is the lecture method. Therefore, one of the learning media that can be used to achieve active student involvement in the learning process is illustrated word cards aided by song lyrics. The objectives of this research are: 1) To describe the pretest results of poetry writing skills of 8th-grade students of SMP Teknologi Pekanbaru, 2) To describe the posttest results of poetry writing skills of 8th-grade students of SMP Teknologi Pekanbaru, 3) To describe how the illustrated word cards aided by songs affect the poetry writing skills of 8th-grade students of SMP Teknologi Pekanbaru. The type of research used in this study is the pre-experimental design method, section one group pretest-posttest design.
The type of research used in this study is the pre-experimental design method, specifically the one group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study is eighth-grade students. Samples were selected using simple random sampling techniques. Data collection techniques used tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests. Based on the results of the pretest, it is known that the average score of the initial poetry writing ability test obtained by the students is 52.39, with a minimum score of 3 and a maximum score of 81. The results of the posttest conducted show that the average score of the final poetry writing ability test after the application of the picture word card learning media assisted by song lyrics is 66.34, with a minimum score of 37 and a maximum score of 88. Thus, it shows that the average ability of students in writing poetry after being given. This indicates that the average ability of students to write poetry after being given treatment is categorized as good. The calculations carried out on the pretest and posttest after the application of image-word card learning media aided by song lyrics show a significant change.
