The Correlation Between Students Anxiety And English Reading Comprehension By Second Grade Students Of Sma Negeri 7 Pekanbaru
This study aims to determine whether there is a significant relationship between anxiety and English reading comprehension of students of SMAN 7 Pekanbarui in the 2024-2025 academic year. This study is a quantitative study with a survey method and a correlational approach that aims to determine whether there is a significant relationship between students' anxiety and their ability to understand descriptive reading in English. Data were collected through questionnaires and reading tests, then analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation formula. The instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire designed by Saito et al. namely Foreign Language and Reading Comprehension (FLRAS) which contains 20 items and Then, 40 descriptive Reading test questions were used to measure students' reading ability levels in English descriptive texts. The population of this study was all students of grade 2 of SMAN 7 Pekanbaru, while the sample was students of grade XI 5 totaling 35 students.
