Kandungan Klorofil-A Dan Kualitas Air Di Perairan Waduk Sungai Paku Kecamatan Kampar Kiri, Kabupaten Kampar Riau
Activities around the Sungai Paku Reservoir, such as fish farming using floating net cages (KJA), tourism, and oil palm plantations, are suspected of contributing organic matter and nutrients to the waters. This study aims to determine the water quality conditions through analysis of chlorophyll-a content and water quality in the Sungai Paku Reservoir, Kampar Kiri Subdistrict, Kampar Regency. The research was conducted from October to September 2024 using a survey method and descriptive analysis. Chlorophyll-a measurement was carried out using the acetone-extraction method, and water quality parameters were measured according to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). Based on the results, chlorophyll-a concentrations ranged from 3.21 to 4.96 μg/L, with the highest value at Station III (4.96 μg/L) and the lowest at Station I (3.21 μg/L). Phytoplankton abundance ranged from 4,050 to 5,950 cells/L, with the highest abundance at Station III (5,950 cells/L) and the lowest at Station II (4,050 cells/L). The phytoplankton identified belonged to four classes: Bacillariophyceae, Charophyceae, Chlorophyceae, and Ulvophyceae. Water quality parameters recorded were: temperature ranging from 29–32°C, water transparency from 70–90 cm, depth from 4–7 m, pH 5, dissolved oxygen (DO) from 4.04–5.46 mg/L, nitrate from 0.03–0.05 mg/L, and phosphate from 0.008–0.012 mg/L. These values comply with the quality standards set by Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021.
