Efisiensi Waktu Pendaratan Hasil Tangkapan Purse Seine Di Tangkahan Berjaya Usaha Sakti (Bus) Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Belawan
Tangkahan Berjaya Usaha Sakti (BUS) is a fish landing facility utilized by purse seine vessels for unloading their catches. Time efficiency in the landing process is a crucial factor in maintaining fish quality, reducing berthing costs, and accelerating market distribution. This study aims to analyze the time efficiency of purse seine landings at BUS and identify the factors influencing wasted time during the process. The research was conducted in April–May 2025 using a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were collected from eight purse seine vessels through direct observation and structured interviews. Observed variables included berthing time, effective time, wasted time, catch volume, number of unloading workers, vessel size, as well as the age and work experience of unloading workers. The results showed that the average time efficiency was 73.95%, categorized as inefficient. Simple linear regression analysis revealed a moderately strong relationship between wasted time and efficiency with a coefficient of determination R² = 0.576. Meanwhile, multiple linear regression analysis indicated that 97.7% of the variation in wasted time could be explained by the five independent variables (R² = 0.977). The t-test results showed that among these variables, only catch volume had a significant effect on wasted time (tcount = 5.810 > ttable = 4.303; p = 0.028 < 0.05). Efforts to improve efficiency can be made by minimizing wasted time through workforce management and streamlining the unloading process, particularly for vessels with large catches.
