Efisiensi Waktu Pembongkaran Ikan Tongkol Krai (Auxis Thazard) Pada Kapal Bagan Perahu Di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan (Ppi) Gaung Provinsi Sumatera Barat
Time efficiency in unloading is the ratio between the effective time used to transfer the catch from the fishing vessel to the transport vessel, then to the Fish Auction Site (FAS), and the total time available for these activities. This indicator is important in the unloading process at fish auctions because it affects the speed of catch distribution and fishermen's operational costs. This study aims to analyse the level of unloading time efficiency for skipjack tuna (Auxis thazard) on bagan boats at the Gaung Fish Landing Base (PPI) in Padang City. The study was conducted from April to May 2025. The method used was a survey method with direct observation of unloading activities on 10 vessels. The results of the study showed that the efficiency of unloading time ranged from 43.11% to 73.18%, with an average efficiency of 63.99%. The highest efficiency was achieved by KM. Dilla Vicky 01, while the lowest efficiency was achieved by KM. Yola 02. Factors influencing wasted time include fish weight, unloading speed, number of workers, and port physical conditions. Efforts to improve efficiency can be made by increasing the number of unloading workers, scheduling vessel berthing times, and improving port infrastructure.
