Komposisi Hasil Tangkapan Alat Tangkap Gill Net Yang Dioperasikan Di Perairan Kuala Jambi Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur Provinsi Jambi

Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency is a potential fisheries production center due to its strategic geographic location in the fisheries and trade sectors. The main fisheries producers in Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency are the districts of Kuala Jambi, Mendahara, Nipah Panjang, Sadu, and Muara Sabak Timur. This research was conducted in Kuala Jambi Waters, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, Jambi Province in December 2024. The purpose of this study was to determine the composition of the Gillnet catch. The method used in this study is the survey method, namely the collection of information or data in the past or present that are interrelated to test hypotheses either through interviews or direct observation/ Researchers carried out treatments in data collection, for example by distributing questionnaires, written tests, structured interviews and so on (treatments are not like in experiments). The results found in this study were the types of fish that dominated the catch consisted of 8 species, namely sugar fish (Micropogonias undulatus), long sugar fish (Johnieops sina), garbage fish (Abalistes stellatus), giant prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii), malung fish (Muraenesox cinereus), sembilang fish (Euristhmus microceps), manyung fish (Arius thalassinus), pomfret (Colossoma macropomum). The total number of catches obtained during the research was 5069 with a total weight of 6955.5 kg.
