perbandingan efektivitas pemberian preemptive pregabalin dan amitriptilin terhadap visual analog scale nyeri neuropatik pascaoperasi pada pasien yang menjalani mastektomi
Introduction: Surgical procedures generally cause postoperative pain that must be reduced immediately and as effectively as possible to accelerate the healing and rehabilitation process and prevent complications, in several studies, the scale of postoperative pain can be reduced by administering preemptive analgesics before anesthesia. This study aims to compare Pregabalin and Amitriptyline in reducing the Visual Analog Scale after mastectomy surgery in patients with a history of previous neuropathic pain.
Methods: The design of this study used a randomized control trial method with double blind. Data collection was carried out by measuring the Visual Analog Scale at 3, 12, 24, and 48 hours after surgery. Data analysis used statistics to compare the Visual Analog Scale values of neuropathic pain in postoperative patients who received preemptive Pregabalin and Amitriptyline.
Results: The results of the study showed a significant difference in the Visual Analog Scale values in the group which receiving preemptive Pregabalin compared to Amitriptyline, with a significant decrease in the pain scale at 12, 24, and 48 hours postoperatively.
Discussion: The discussion addresses the importance of using preemptive in the management of postoperative neuropathic pain, as well as comparing the effectiveness of preemptive Pregabalin with Amitriptyline in reducing neuropathic pain.
Conclusion: From this study can be concluded that preemptive administration significantly reduces the Visual Analog Scale value of postoperative neuropathic pain, especially in patients who receive preemptive Pregabalin. Further research is needed to explore the potential use of preemptive combination as part of a broad multimodal analgesic.
