              ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the role of village officials in promoting community participation, as well as the implementation of financial management and environmental management in relation to the accountability of village fund management. In the context of regional autonomy, village officials have significant responsibilities in managing village funds transparently and accountably. This research also examines the role of compliance with laws as a moderating factor that influences the relationship between community participation and the accountability of village fund management.
The research employs a quantitative approach, collecting data through surveys and interviews with village officials and community members in several villages. The findings indicate that active community participation, supported by good financial management and sustainable environmental management, positively contributes to the accountability of village fund management. Furthermore, compliance with laws has been shown to moderate this relationship, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of village fund management. These findings are expected to provide insights for policymakers and village officials in improving community participation and the accountability of village fund management, ensuring that village development can proceed more effectively and sustainably.
