His research aims to describe (1) the forms of illocutionary speech acts in
the film Ketoprak Spesial Cintanya Gak Ngakal and (2) the functions of illocutionary
speech acts found in the film Ketoprak Spesial Cintanya Gak Ngakal. This research is
a qualitative descriptive study. The data source for this research is the film Ketoprak
Spesial Cintanya Gak Ngakal. The data collection techniques used in this research are
observation and note-taking. The data analysis techniques used in this research are (1)
data reduction, (2) data presentation, and (3) conclusion drawing. Based on the
research findings, four forms of illocutionary speech acts were found in the film
Ketoprak Spesial Cintanya Gak Ngakal, namely (1) assertive, (2) directive, (3)
commissive, and (4) expressive. The functions of illocutionary speech acts found in
the film Ketoprak Spesial Cintanya Gak Ngakal are four, namely (1) competitive, (2)
convivial, (3) collaborative, and (4) conflictive.
