Strategi komunikasi lingkungan kelompok sadar wisata dalam mengelola ekowisata penyu ampiang parak berbasis pengurangan risiko bencana (prb) Di kecamatan sutera
The Laskar Pemuda Peduli Lingkungan (Youth Group Concerned with the Environment) is the main manager of Ampiang Parak Turtle Ecotourism. This ecotourism initiative originated from environmental activities carried out by the Ampiang Parak Youth Initiative, which is concerned with the environment and the coastal area of Ampiang Parak, located in a high-risk red zone prone to earthquakes, tsunamis, erosion, and high levels of sea turtle egg theft by local communities within the ecotourism area. To address these issues, Pokdarwis, as the main manager, requires a communication strategy for managing the Ampiang Parak Turtle Eco- Tourism. The objective of this study is to analyze the environmental communication planning, implementation, and evaluation carried out by Pokdarwis in managing the Ampiang Parak Turtle Eco-Tourism based on disaster risk reduction.
This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. There are eight informants in this study, selected using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive data analysis model by Miles and Huberman, which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity in this study was examined using triangulation.
The results of this study indicate that the environmental communication strategy implemented by the tourism awareness group (pokdarwis) consists of three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. During the planning stage, an analysis of the issues is conducted, objectives are set, stakeholders and target audiences are identified, messages are formulated, and appropriate media are selected. In the implementation stage, environmental communication is carried out face-to-face through direct appeals, socialization, and education to the community. Environmental communication is also conducted through online media, such as websites and social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. Finally, an evaluation is conducted by discussing the challenges encountered during implementation, assessing the success of the efforts, and formulating solutions to enhance the effectiveness of environmental communication in the Ampiang Parak sea turtle ecotourism site, which is based on disaster risk reduction.
