Analisis Pendapatan Dan Tingkat Kesejahteraan Rumah Tangga Nelayan Di Kelurahan Rantau Kopar Kabupaten Rokan Hilir

This study aims to analyze the income and welfare levels of fishermen's households in Rantau Kopar Village, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province. This research is important considering that the majority of the population earns a living as traditional fishermen using simple fishing gear, which causes income uncertainty. In addition, fishermen's household income is also influenced by the non-fisheries sector. Household income is calculated from two sectors, namely fisheries and non-fisheries. This study collected data through interviews with 30 fishermen respondents, using survey methods and quantitative analysis to calculate income and assess their welfare levels using indicators from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The results showed that the average income of fishermen's households in Rantau Kopar Village was IDR5,774,400 per month, with the non-fisheries sector contributing slightly more (50.3%) than the fisheries sector (49.7%). Based on BPS welfare indicators, most of the fishing households fall into the moderate welfare category with 17 people or 56,7%. Thus, it can be concluded that although fishermen in Rantau Kopar have achieved a decent standard of living, there is potential to increase their income through improvements in the fisheries and non-fisheries sectors. This research makes an important contribution to social and economic policies aimed at improving the welfare of fishermen.
