Analisis Kelayakan Usaha Penangkapan Ikan Teri (Stolephorus Sp) Menggunakan Alat Tangkap Kelong Betawi Di Kampung Monggak Kelurahan Rempang Cate Kecamatan Galang Kota Batam Provinsi Kepulauan Riau
This study aims to analyze the feasibility of anchovy fishing business using traditional Kelong Betawi fishing gear in Monggak Village, Rempang Cate Subdistrict, Batam City. The analysis includes aspects of investment, income, profit, and financial feasibility, involving 12 fishermen as respondents. The results of the study indicate that the total investment spent by Kelong Betawi fishermen with a distance of ±100 m from the coastline amounted to IDR 104,743,428.57 and the Kelong Betawi fishermen's business with a distance of ±500 m from the coastline amounted to IDR 113,116,000.00. The gross income received by Kelong Betawi fishermen with a distance of ±100 m from the coastline amounted to IDR 176,028,571.43/year and the gross income of Kelong Betawi fishermen's business with a distance of ±500 m from the coastline amounted to IDR 245,928,000.00/year. Meanwhile, the profits received by Betawi kelong fishermen at a distance of ±100 m from the coastline amounted to IDR 23,600,171.43/year and the profits of Betawi kelong fishermen at a distance of ±500 m from the coastline amounted to IDR 69,840,000.00/year. Based on the business feasibility analysis, it can be concluded that the Betawi kelong fishing business in Monggak Village is feasible to run in both locations, but fishermen operating at a distance of ±500 meters from the coastline have a much better level of feasibility than fishermen at a distance of ±100 meters. This can be seen from the higher value of the income to cost ratio (1.40 compared to 1.15), a faster payback period (8.09 years compared to 22.19 years), and a greater financial return rate (62 percent compared to 23 percent). Thus, the Betawi kelong business in locations further from the coast is proven to be more profitable and economically efficient even though it requires a slightly larger initial investment.
