Determinan Ekspor Rumput Laut Indonesia Ke Negara Tujuan Utama
Indonesia is one of the world's largest producers of seaweed, contributing more than 27.86% to global production, with the main export destinations being China, South Korea, Vietnam, and Chile. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing Indonesia's seaweed exports to these countries by examining the impact of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), seaweed prices, exchange rates, and population. The study uses secondary data in the form of panel data from 2014 to 2024, covering the four main importing countries. Data analysis was conducted using panel data regression, with the best model selected through the Chow Test, Hausman Test, and Lagrange Multiplier Test. The results show that GDP and seaweed prices have a positive and significant impact on seaweed export volume, while population also has a positive impact. Exchange rates do not have a significant impact. These findings confirm that the economic growth of destination countries and sustained high demand despite rising prices are key drivers of seaweed exports. These results are expected to provide strategic recommendations for policymakers and industry players to enhance the competitiveness of Indonesian seaweed in the global market.
