Pengaruh Dinding Bata Terhadap Soft Story Sistem Rangka Bangun Gedung Beton Bertulang Beraturan Berdasarkan Asce 41-17
ABSTRACT
Masonry walls in buildings are generally classified as non-structural elements and
are therefore not accounted for in the structural design. In buildings with soft-story
characteristics, neglecting the effect of masonry infill walls needs to be studied
further, since soft-story behavior can increase the vulnerability of the structure
during an earthquake. A soft story occurs when there is a significant difference in
stiffness between floors, causing greater deformation at the lower level than at the
upper ones. This condition can lead to structural instability and may cause partial
or total collapse. This research to analyze the influence of masonry wall
configuration on the soft-story response of reinforced concrete structures.
Modeling was performed on a regular building with four variations of infill wall
configurations, represented as strut elements based on ASCE 41-17 and analyzed
using a linear static procedure. The model variations consisted of: Model 1 without
masonry walls, Model 2 with masonry walls from the second to the sixth story,
Model 3 with masonry walls from the third to the sixth story, and Model 4 with
masonry walls from the second to the fifth story. Model 3 created the most severe
stiffness irregularity, producing a soft-story condition in the two lowest levels, with
inter-story stiffness ratios of just 0,65% and 0,51%. Model 2 and Model 4 had the
same value on the first story, with a stiffness ratio of 0,35%. Meanwhile, Model 1
had a gradually increasing stiffness distribution between stories, with stiffness
ratios ranging from 0,69%-1,13%. Based on the analysis results, it can be
concluded that the frame system with brick walls has a shorter vibration period,
better resistance to soft story, more even distribution of deformation so that the
potential for soft story is smaller.
