Jenis Dan Kepadatan Bintang Laut (Asteroidea) Di Ekosistem Padang Lamun Desapengudang Kabupaten Bintan Provinsi Kepulauan Riau

This study aims to determine The Types and Density of Starfish (Asteroidea) in The Seagrass Ecosystem of Pengudang Village, Bintan Regency, Kepulauan Riau Province. This research was conducted in September 2024 in Pengudang Village, Bintan Regency, Kepulauan Riau Province. Collecting and observations of starfish samples were conducted at three station points with three line transects each. In each transect there were 10 observation plots measuring 1×1 m. The types of starfish found during research in Pengudang Village were 2 types consisting of Archaster typicus (73 individuals) and Protoreaster nodosus (14 individuals). The density value of starfish found during research in Pengudang Village ranged from 700 – 13,700 ind/ha. The water quality conditions during the research were in the good category to support the life of starfish, with a value of water temperature are 29.7-31.3°C, a value of current speed are 0.055-0.076 m/s, a value of salinity are 29.9-31.6 ppt, and a value of dissolved oxygen are 6.82-7.66 mg/L.
