pengaruh status sosial orang tua, penggunaan media internet dan motivasi belajar terhadap literasi ekonomi pada siswa kelas xii man 1 pekanbaru
Economic literacy is a crucial competence that students must possess to make rational financial decisions in their daily lives. However, data indicate that students in Indonesia still have relatively low levels of economic literacy. This study aims to analyze the influence of parents' social status, internet media usage, and learning motivation on the economic literacy of twelfth-grade students at MAN 1 Pekanbaru. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed, using a survey method with a census sampling technique involving all 128 students. Data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire, and analyzed through path analysis assisted by SPSS software.
The results reveal that collectively, the three independent variables significantly affect students' economic literacy. Partially, parents' social status and the use of internet media positively influence economic literacy, but learning motivation has the most substantial effect. These findings suggest that students' economic literacy is not only shaped by external factors such as family background and access to digital media but also strongly driven by internal motivation to learn. Therefore, schools and teachers are encouraged to enhance students' learning motivation through contextual teaching methods and optimal use of digital tools. Furthermore, parental involvement in the educational process plays an essential role in supporting students’ economic literacy development.
