This research investigates the perceptions of English Study Program students at FKIP Universitas Riau regarding the role of English songs in learning speaking. Recognizing the potential of music as a supplementary tool in language learning, particularly in enhancing speaking skills, this study employs a descriptive quantitative design. A total of 38 fourth-semester students from Class 4A, Batch 2023, served as the sample. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms, consisting of 30 items categorized into three indicators: the attractiveness, usefulness, and impact of English songs in learning speaking. The findings reveal that students hold a positive perception toward the use of English songs, with an overall mean score of 3.86, categorized as high. Among the indicators, the attractiveness of English songs obtained the highest mean score (3.92), followed by usefulness (3.90), and impact (3.79). The results suggest that English songs serve not only as an enjoyable and motivating learning medium but also as an effective tool for improving vocabulary, pronunciation, and speaking fluency. Therefore, integrating English songs into classroom activities is recommended to support the development of students' speaking skills in an engaging and meaningful way.
