This study aims to determine the influence and differences in the ability to write descriptive texts of students who use the Picture and Picture learning model and those who use the conventional model. The method used by the author is experimental research with a quantitative approach. The research design used by the author is between group design, the type of true experiment is the pretest-posttest only control group design. The population in the study were all students of class VII MTS YLPI Lubuk Bendahara. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling, namely class VII-A as the experimental class using the Picture and Picture model and class VII-B as the control class using the conventional method. The data analysis technique used a two-sample t-test (Independent Sample t-test). The results of the Anova test calculation are Fhit 118.335> 4.28. The test results reject H0, where Fhit> Ftab. The effect of the Picture and Picture model on the ability to write descriptive texts is 83.7% and the relationship between the Picture and Picture learning model and the ability to write descriptive texts is 0.992, meaning that the effect of this model is positive on students' ability to write descriptive texts. Where every 1% of the value of the results of writing descriptive text after the implementation of the Picture and Picture learning model increased by 0.992.
