Project-based learning model is a learning approach using projects as the core of the learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of Project Based Learning model on biography text writing skills of class X students at SMAN 2 Tambang. The main problem behind this research is the low level of students' biography text writing skills caused by the use of conventional learning methods that are less able to involve students actively and meaningfully. This research used experimental design with pretest-posttest control group. The results showed that students' writing skills improved significantly after the implementation of the learning model. The average writing score in the experimental class increased from 49.1 to 86.3, while the control class increased from 52.9 to 81.2. The ANOVA test shows that the value of 0.000
