The research titled 'Expressive Speech Acts of Denny Siregar on the YouTube
Channel 2045TV' aims to describe the forms and functions of expressive speech acts in
Denny Siregar's narration on the 2045TV YouTube channel. This study employs a
qualitative descriptive method. The data in this study includes the forms and functions
of expressive speech acts of Denny Siregar in 8 videos based on the 2 most widely aired
from 2021 to 2024, while the data source for this study is the GASPOL program of
Denny Siregar on the 2045TV YouTube channel. The results show that there are four
forms of expressive speech acts in Denny Siregar's video content, which include literal
direct speech acts, non-literal direct speech acts, literal indirect speech acts, and nonliteral
indirect speech acts, with the most common finding being literal indirect speech
acts. The functions of expressive speech acts found include greetings, compliments,
criticisms, insinuations, firmness, dissatisfaction, and doubt, with the most common
function of expressive speech acts being the function of insinuation.
