This study aimed to analyze the types and meanings of conceptual metaphors of love found in Olivia Rodrigo's song lyrics from the SOUR album. This research uses Lakoff and Johnson's (2003) Conceptual Metaphor Theory (CMT) which classifies conceptualmetaphors into three types, namely orientational metaphors, structural metaphors, and ontological metaphors. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through documentation technique by analyzing each song lyric in SOUR album. The results show that there are 56 conceptual metaphors of love, consisting of 4 orientational metaphors, 18 structural metaphors, and 34 ontological metaphors. These metaphors represent various emotional experiences such as romantic journeys, heartbreak, emotional struggles, and self-identity issues. The use of conceptual metaphors in lyrics serves to enhance emotional expression and convey messages in a more vivid and imaginative way. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of how metaphors function in song lyrics and how they can be used as an effective mediumfor teaching metaphors and semantics, especially to students who actively engage with music.
