Latar belakang orang tua memberikan tontonan dari gadget kepada anak di tk negeri pembina 2 Pekanbaru
This study aims to describe the background of parents providing spectacle from gadgets to early childhood. This type of research uses a descriptive quantitative approach that aims to describe a phenomenon systematically, factually, and accurately. This research was carried out at Kindergarten Negeri Pembina 2 Pekanbaru because the school is considered strategic to reach early childhood according to the focus of the research. In this study, data was collected through two main techniques, namely questionnaire and documentation. Based on the results of the research, it is known that the background of parents both in terms of education, work, and socioeconomic conditions greatly influences their decision to provide gadget spectacle to early childhood. Most parents do it for practical reasons, such as calming their children down or so that they can get work done, while others consider gadgets useful as a means of education even though the supervision is still not optimal. The impact of giving this gadget is twofold, on the one hand it provides entertainment, increases knowledge, and introduces technology from an early age, but on the other hand it also risks causing dependence, reducing social interaction, disrupting concentration and sleep patterns, and causing health problems such as eye fatigue.
