ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the relationship between communication skills, resilience,
and achievement motivation with the work readiness of students in the Faculty of Social
and Political Sciences, class of 2022, who feel ready to enter the workforce after
completing their studies. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method
through questionnaire distribution. The number of respondents was 258 students,
selected based on the criteria of students who stated they were ready to face the world of
work. Data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation test with the help of SPSS
version 25. The results showed that all three independent variables had a significant
relationship with student work readiness. First, communication skills had a positive and
significant relationship with work readiness. Second, resilience also showed a positive
and significant relationship with work readiness. Third, achievement motivation was
positively and significantly related to work readiness. Overall, these results demonstrate
that communication skills, resilience, and achievement motivation are important factors
influencing the work readiness of students in the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences,
University of Riau.
