Perbandingan metode penentuan nilai tetapan ridge-k pada regresi ridge untuk memodelkan nilai ekspor cpo indonesia
Indonesia is the world's largest palm oil exporter in 2023. Palm oil produces two types of oil, namely crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel oil. However, palm oil exports are still dominated by raw products with low selling value. Therefore, it is important to identify the factors that influence the value of CPO exports to determine the causes of the rise and fall of Indonesia's CPO export value. The method that can be used to analyze these factors is multiple linear regression. One of the classical assumptions that must be met in this analysis is the absence of multicollinearity. Multicollinearity can cause the regression coefficient to show the wrong direction of the relationship. The method that can be used to overcome multicollinearity is the ridge regression method by adding constraints or ridge-k values to the estimation process. The ridge-k value can be determined through several methods. This study discusses ridge regression using the ridge-k constant value based on the ridge trace method, the Hoerl, Kennard, & Baldwin method, and the Lawless & Wang method to model the value of Indonesia's CPO exports. The results of the study showed that ridge regression was able to overcome multicollinearity and the best method for determining the ridge-k constant value was the Lawless & Wang method, with an MSE value of 3.992 and an R² of 0.826.
