This research is motivated by low student achievement. This is evident from the phenomenon where, when observed from the learning styles of most students, they still prefer to play while studying, such as chatting with friends and not taking notes. The research problem is formulated as to whether the school environment influences the Civics learning achievement of 11th-grade students at Karya Pengalihan Senior High School, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the school environment influences the learning achievement of eleventh-grade students in Civics at Karya Pengalihan Senior High School, Indragiri Hilir Regency. Theoretically, this research is expected to contribute to the field of education, particularly through the writing of scientific papers specifically titled "The Influence of the School Environment on Student Achievement." Practically, this research is expected to benefit teachers, students, schools, authors, readers, and institutions involved in understanding the influence of the school environment on student achievement.
This study employed a quantitative survey method with a causal-associative nature. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with 19 questions. The population in this study was eleventh-grade students at Karya Pengalihan Senior High School, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The sample was determined using the Slovin formula with a random sampling technique at a 5% level, resulting in a total sample size of 99 respondents.
Based on data analysis, this study found a significant positive effect between the school environment and learning achievement. Based on the statistical test, it was obtained that the F count value was 78.648 ≥ F table 3.94 and the significant value was 0.000 ≤ 0.05. So it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so that the School Environment (X) has a significant effect on the Learning Achievement (Y) of Class XI Students of SMAS Karya Pengalihan, Indragiri Hilir Regency. environment (X) on learning achievement (Y) were 44.8% while 55.2% was influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
