Daya Dukung Perikanan Alami Berdasarkan Klorofil-A Di Danau Pinang Luar Desa Buluhcina Kecamatan Siak Hulu
The carrying capacity of waters is the ability of aquatic resources to support the life of organisms in these waters. Carrying capacity is determined by the ability of the environment to support ecosystems, primary productivity and fish species in these waters. This study aims to determine the carrying capacity of natural fisheries in Pinang Luar Lake. One of the approaches used in research at Pinang Luar Lake is GPP (Gross Primary Productivity). If theGPP value does not exist, the GPP value can be approximated by the chlorophyll-a concentration of phytoplankton. The research was conducted in June-August 2024 at Pinang Luar Lake, Buluhcina Village. Sampling at three stations, namely station 1 (inlet), station 2 (middle of lake), and station 3 (the end of lake). At each station there are 2 sampling points, namely surface (20 cm) and depth (120 cm). Water sampling was conducted 6 times once a week. Water quality parameters measured were temperature, transparency, pH, DO, free CO2, nitrate, phosphate, and chlorophyll-a. The result shown chlorophyll-a concentration during the study was 10.16-13.97 µg/L, transparency 72.7 cm, temperature 29.2-29.7°C, pH 5, dissolved oxygen (DO) 3.58 - 6.11 mg/L, free CO2 3.76 - 12.3 mg/L, nitrate 0.115-0.335 mg/L, and phosphate 0.076 - 0.163 mg/L. The chlorophyll-a concentration showed that the natural fisheries carrying capacity of Pinang Luar Lake was 1,44 tons/year.
