Uji Aktivitas Fraksi Teripang Berunok (Paracaudina Australis) Sebagai Inhibitor Enzim Α-Glukosidase
Sea cucumber is one of the marine commodities originating from Karimun Regency. Sea cucumber is made into flour and then extracted. Extraction of sea cucumber using methanol solution. The methanol extract is then fractionated using three solutions based on their polarity, namely n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol. The test parameters in this study were water content, fat, secondary metabolite content, antioxidants, and the ability of sea cucumber extract to inhibit the alpha glucosidase enzyme. The results of the identification of secondary metabolite compounds in the N-Hexane fraction are steroid/terpenoid compounds, while in the ethyl acetate fraction the detected compounds are flavonoids, steroids/terpenoids, and saponins, and in the ethanol fraction the detected compounds are flavonoids, steroids/terpenoids and saponins. The results of the antioxidant test obtained the highest IC50 value of the ethyl acetate fraction with a value of 205.34 ppm, the ethanol fraction 230.14 ppm and n-Hexane 506.71 ppm. The test results showed that the ethanol fraction had the highest inhibitory activity compared to the ethyl acetateand n-hexane fractions. At aconcentration of 1000 ppm, the ethanol fraction was able to inhibit the enzyme by 16.298%, followed by the ethyl acetate fraction by 13.177%, and the n-hexane fraction by 7.499%.
