Analisis Faktor Risiko Diabetes Melitus Tipe II Pada Masyarakat Kota Dumai
Type II Diabetes Mellitus is a non-communicable disease with an increasing prevalence in Indonesia, including Dumai City. Early detection through the PTM SATUSEHAT screening program is essential to identify its risk factors. This study aimed to analyze the risk factors associated with random blood glucose levels among Dumai City community based on PTM SATUSEHAT screening data. The type of this research is analytic observational with a cross-sectional approach. Data were analyzed using univariate, bivariate (Chi-square) and multivariate (logistic regression) analyses to determine the dominant factors related to blood glucose levels. The results showed that most respondents had normal glucose levels (83,4%), while prediabetes (11,4%) and diabetes (5,2%). Significant associations were found between blood glucose levels and family history (p value = 0,0001), body mass index (p value = 0,027) and hypertension (p value = 0,001). Multivariate analysis indicated that the dominant factors were family history (OR=9,37) and hypertension (OR=2,97). In conclusion, the main risk factors influencing random blood glucose levels among Dumai City community were family history. Preventive efforts should focus on weight control, blood pressure management and regular screening for high-risk individuals.
