Hubungan Kekurangan Energi Kronis, Siklus Haid Dan Status Gizi Dengan Indikasi Anemia Pada Remaja Putri Di SMA Negeri Pintar Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi
Anemia is a pathological condition characterized by a decrease in hemoglobin levels below the normal range. Anemia among adolescent girls remains a common health issue caused by various factors, one of which is Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED). This study aimed to determine the relationship between Chronic Energy Deficiency and indications of anemia among adolescent girls at SMA Negeri Pintar, Kuantan Singingi District, and to analyze other contributing factors such as nutritional status and menstrual cycle. This research is an analytical study using a cross-sectional design involving 81 adolescent girls selected through a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through hemoglobin level examination, Body Mass Index-for-Age (BMI/A) measurement to assess nutritional status, Upper Arm Circumference measurement to assess Chronic Energy Deficiency, and questionnaires to evaluate menstrual cycles. The results showed that among 81 respondents, 38.3% experienced CED, and 40.7% had indications of anemia. The Chi-square test showed a significant relationship between CED and indications of anemia (p-value=0.042). The analysis also revealed that menstrual cycle (p-value=0.150) and nutritional status (p-value=0.115) were not significantly associated. Logistic regression multivariate analysis showed that CED influenced the indications of anemia (p=0.044; OR=2.580; 95% CI=1.024–6.500), indicating that adolescents with CED have approximately 2.5 times higher risk of anemia.
