pengaruh supervisi kepala sekolah dan pelatihan guru terhadap kompetensi pedagogik guru di madrasah aliyah negeri se-kota pekanbaru
Based on the research conducted by Iwan Salih Hamonangan Daulay at the State Islamic Senior High Schools (MAN) in Pekanbaru, it was found that principal supervision and teacher training have a significant impact on teachers' pedagogical competence. Effective supervision by school principals—through structured guidance, coaching, and evaluation—positively contributes to improving teachers ability to design, implement, and assess instructional activities. Meanwhile, relevant and continuous training allows teachers to update their knowledge and skills in response to modern educational challenges, including the integration of technology and the application of innovative teaching methods. The combination of these two factors creates a synergistic effect that supports the overall enhancement of teacher professionalism.
The findings of the study indicate that the influence of principal supervision and teacher training on pedagogical competence is complementary. Statistical analysis confirms that both variables, whether examined individually or jointly, significantly contribute to the improvement of teachers' pedagogical capabilities in MAN schools across Pekanbaru. Teachers who receive consistent supervision and participate in appropriate training demonstrate better understanding of student characteristics, improved instructional planning, and more effective teaching and assessment practices. Therefore, the study recommends the implementation of intensive supervision and well-structured, ongoing training programs as key strategies to enhance the quality of education in these institutions.
