Pengaruh Penambahan Ekstrak Bayam Merah (Amaranthus Tricolor) Pada Pakan Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Kelulushidupan Udang Vaname (Litopenaeus Vannamei)

This study aims to determine the effect of adding Amaranthus tricolor extract to feed on the growth and survival of vaname shrimp and to obtain the best dose of adding Amaranthus tricolor extract to feed. This study was conducted for 50 days from March to April 2025 which took place at the Hatchery, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau. The method used in this study was an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) experimental design with 4 treatment levels and 3 replications, so that 12 experimental units were required. The feed doses used were as follows: P1 = Commercial feed without red spinach extract; P2 = Commercial feed + red spinach extract 1.5 g / kg feed; P3 = Commercial feed + red spinach extract 3 g / kg feed; P4 = Commercial feed + red spinach extract 4.5 g / kg feed. The best treatment for growth and survival of vaname shrimp was P4 with an absolute weight of 3.78 g, specific growth rate of 6.41%, molting intensity of 11.1%, survival rate of 91.67%, feed conversion of 1.01, while the water quality was 20 ppt salinity, temperature ranged from 27.8-29.6 0C, pH ranged from 7.2-7.6, dissolved oxygen levels of 4.5-5.3 mg/L, ammonia concentration ranged from 0.012-0.075 mg/L..
