Jenis Dan Kepadatan Gastropoda Pada Ekosistem Padang Lamun Di Pulau Setokok Kecamatan Bulang Kota Batam Provinsi Kepulauan Riau
Seagrass ecosystem in the Setokok Island is inhabited by numerous aquatic organisms, including gastropods.Research onthe species anddensityof gastropods in the seagrass ecosystem of Setokok Island was conducted from July to August 2025. A research aims to determine the species and density of gastropods in the seagrass ecosystem of Setokok Island, Bulang District, Batam City, Riau Islands Province. The method used in this research is the survey method. At each station, there are 3 transect lines and on each line there are 3 plots measuring 1m x 1m. The gastropods and seagrass were taken manually from each plot and then counted and identified. Results shown that there was 9 species of gastropods, namely Strombus canarium, Canarium urceus, Pugilina cochlidium, Vexillum subdivisum, Telescopium telescopium, Drupella margariticola, Erronea errones, Nerita fulgurans and Turbo castanea with a density ranged from 10,78 - 15 ind/m2. The diversity index (H’) was 0,950 – 0,988 (medium), uniformity index (E) was 0,950 – 0,988 (high) and dominance index (C’) was 0,172 – 0,207. Then, two types of seagrass were found, namely Enhalus acoroides and Thalassia hemprichii, with a density ranged from 88,33 – 107,56 ind/m2 and seagrass coverage ranged from 27,08% - 41,67%.
