The 21st century era challenges in the world of education are increasingly demanded in accordance with the times. In facing the 21st century era, educators must present learning that teaches students to have 4C skills, namely critical thinking and problem solving, communication, collaboration and creativity and innovation. The quality of learning can be said to be good if the learning process is centered on student activities (student centered learning) and not centered on teachers (teacher centered learning). Teachers must have an effort to make learning activities more creative, innovative, responsive, constructive and conducive to improving the quality of learning. Learning innovation can be done in various ways, one of which is by utilizing digital technology and the internet. The existence of the industrial revolution 4.0 is a challenge for teachers in utilizing it in the world of education.
E-modules are digital-based teaching materials and are able to help teachers facilitate students in independent learning, especially in the current era. Based on the results of observations from schools, it can be concluded that it is very necessary to develop teaching materials in the form of e-modules because teachers have never used e-modules during learning, teachers only use textbooks. The development of e-modules can be combined with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in order to direct student activities in independent learning. PBL-based e-modules can increase students' interest in learning so that it is expected that the development of PBL-based e-modules can improve student learning outcomes. The development of PBL-based e-modules is carried out on environmental change material.
This study aims to determine the quality of PBL-based e-modules on environmental change material and their influence on increasing student interest and learning outcomes. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Bangkinang Kota, this study used the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The analysis stage consists of curriculum analysis, student needs analysis, teaching materials analysis and material analysis. The design stage consists of designing learning devices and designing e-modules, the development stage consists of validity tests, teacher practicality tests, limited trials (one-on-one tests and small-scale tests). While the implementation stage is a large-scale test in the form of implementing PBL-based e-modules on Environmental Change material.
The results of the study on validity showed that the e-module was classified as very valid in 5 aspects, namely, the average in the software aspect was 3.73, the average in the presentation aspect was 3.50, the average in the content aspect was 3.67, the average in the language aspect was 3.75, and the average in the graphic aspect was 3.78. Then, the results of the practicality of the e-module for teachers and students as a whole showed that the e-module was classified as very practical in 3 aspects, namely the average in the ease of use aspect was 89.11%,

the average in the efficiency of learning time was 92.14%, and the average in the benefits aspect was 90.52%. The results of the study at the implementation stage showed that there was a significant influence of PBL-based e-modules on increasing student interest in learning and learning outcomes. The n-gain value of student interest in the experimental class was 0.6 with a high category while in the control class it was 0.2 in the medium category and the n-gain value of student learning outcomes in the experimental class was 0.62 in the high category, while in the control class it was 0.28 in the medium category.
The conclusion of this study is that the development of e-modules based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) on environmental change material as teaching materials is very valid and the use of the developed e-modules has an effect on increasing the interest and learning outcomes of Grade X high school students on environmental change material.
