This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the problem-solving learning
model in improving economic learning outcomes in class XI IIS students at SMAN
6 Tapung. The method used is a quantitative approach. The type of research used
is a quasi-experimental. The objects in this study were all class XI IIS students
consisting of two classes, namely class XI IIS.1 (experimental class) and class XI
IIS.2 (control class) where each class consists of 36 students. Data collection
techniques were carried out by observation and tests. The results of this study
indicate that the problem-solving learning model is effective in improving student
learning outcomes as indicated by the t-test where there is a significant difference
between the experimental class and the control class.
